Welcome to our Teamfight Tactics Tier List for Patch 14.11

Hey everyone, welcome back to our weekly TFT Champion Tier List, where we rank all of the champions in the current patch by strength.

Similar to our LoL tier list, our TFT tier list is curated in collaboration with top-level players, such as Frodan. This list is optimized to help you climb.

For these tiers, we generally use placement stats to determine what champions are performing best this patch. However, since the patch is still fresh, some tiers will also be based on expectations. If a Champion is nerfed heavily, they will be lower on the tier list, and the stats will likely follow.

Overall, the tiers give us a general understanding of what’s doing well this patch, but things can always change as the patch goes on. Players may innovate or optimize, resulting in slight differences toward the end of the patch.

If you want to stay up to date on the best performing champions, check out our Champion Stats Page.

TFT Tier List for Patch 14.11

1-Cost Tier List

Tier Champions
Optimal (S-tier) Kog’Maw, Caitlyn, Rek’Sai
Great (A-tier) Darius, Ahri, Cho’Gath, Kobuko
Good (B-tier) Yasuo, Malphite, Garen, Kha’Zix, Sivir, Jax

When it comes to 1-cost units, the ranking stats can be somewhat skewed. Champions that stay in end game team comps generally go into vertical traits like Ghostly, Bruiser, Invoker, etc.

S-Tier

Caitlyn has been strong in the meta with more Ghostly comps being viable. Kog’Maw is in a similar situation with Mythic/Invoker team comps. Lastly, Rek’Sai has use in both Dryad and Bruiser team comps.

A-Tier

Darius and Umbral comps have been on the rise, resulting in his higher ranking this week. Ahri is still a strong unit, but has moved down a bit compared to last patch. Cho’Gath still can be played with Mythic Reroll, and Kobuko is now seeing play as a Reroll carry with his Hero Augment.

B-Tier

Heavenly has finally moved down into the B tier. Sivir hasn’t been great due to Trickshot being in a weak position recently. Lastly, Yasuo, Garen, and Jax haven’t been meta in late game comps for a while.

2-Cost Tier List

Tier Champions
Optimal (S-tier) Qiyana, Janna, Shen, Senna
Great (A-tier) Aatrox, Yorick, Kindred, Riven, Zyra, Lux
Good (B-tier) Neeko, Gnar, Teemo

S-Tier

Qiyana is the main new addition to S-tier. Vertical Duelist comps have been performing very well, and she is a core unit to hit higher tiers of Duelist. Janna continues to be a strong late game unit on level 9 boards, and Senna/Shen are strong together in a Reroll comp.

A-Tier

Most of the A-tier remains the same, but Yorick has moved up with Umbral comps performing better. Zyra is also seeing more play as a reroll carry, but not enough to rank S just yet.

B-Tier

Neeko has been in a weak spot for a while, as she is often dropped in Heavenly comps and hasn’t quite fit in elsewhere. Gnar and Dryad comps still can work, but they’re nowhere near as prevalent as before. Lastly, Teemo can be great for a Fortune start, but keeping him doesn’t result in great finishes.

3-Cost Tier List

Tier Champions
Optimal (S-tier) Soraka, Diana, Volibear, Alune
Great (A-tier) Illaoi, Tristana, Aphelios, Amumu
Good (B-tier) Thresh, Yone, Tahm Kench, Zoe, Bard

S-Tier

Soraka’s high stats are likely inflated due to her being utilized in level 9 boards. However, reroll Soraka with Diana/Zoe might creep up this patch. Diana is in a similar boat, being used in strong late game comps, but isn’t extremely powerful mid game. Volibear is in a great spot with Duelist comps being good, and Alune for similar reasons but for Umbral.

A-Tier

Illaoi is an incredibly flexible unit, and she sees play in many comps. Tristana has moved up with Duelists. Aphelios is a strong unit for Sniper Fated comps, and Amumu/Porcelain as a whole is still in a decent spot.

B-Tier

Thresh isn’t as important in Fated comps as more players are flexing Fated instead of going more vertical. Yone is brought down by Yone carry comps, even though Umbral is in a good spot this patch. Tahm Kench and Bard haven’t been meta for a while, and Zoe continues to be an underwhelming carry.

4-Cost Tier List

Tier Champions
Optimal (S-tier) Syndra, Sylas, Lee Sin, Nautilus
Great (A-tier) Lillia, Morgana, Galio, Ornn, Kayn, Ashe, Annie
Good (B-tier) Kai’Sa

S-Tier

As expected, Syndra is our top ranked 4-cost unit. The Fated core is just flexible and powerful, with Syndra at the center of it. Lee Sin continues to be a strong late game carry with Dragonlord, and Nautilus has seen an uptick with Mythic comps being strong. Sylas has also been performing well in both Bruiser and Umbral comps.

A-Tier

Most of the A-tier is the same as before, but most notably, Ornn has dropped down. He’s still an incredibly powerful tank, but level 9 rush boards have gotten weaker compared to previous patches.

B-Tier

Unfortunately, Kai’Sa is still in the B-tier for this week. While Trickshot is still a decent comp, it just hasn’t been performing compared to everything else.

5-Cost Tier List

Tier Champions
Optimal (S-tier) Rakan, Irelia, Wukong, Lissandra, Udyr, Sett, Azir, Xayah, Hwei
Great (A-tier) N/A
Good (B-tier) N/A

S-Tier

5-Cost units are difficult to rank because they’re quite context based. In the past, Azir carry level 9 boards were incredibly powerful, but the meta has shifted.

Rakan, Irelia, and Wukong are the best performers so far this patch. This is due to the synergy between the Dragonlord, Duelist, and Sage traits.

These three also empower Duelist comps in the late game, which is a natural observation. The other 5-costs are still good, but they’re situational depending on what team comp you’re playing.

TFT Tier List Methodology

Our goal is to deliver the most accurate tier list we can. When data becomes available, we will add that to our decision making as well.

To ensure accuracy, we work with experts with multiple Challenger accounts like Frodan to filter through data and combine it with expert insight.

Stats are never perfect, but they’re an amazing tool for answering questions about the state of the metagame.

Feedback is welcomed to figure out what we missed!

Units are valued in the following ways:

  • S-tier = Super powerful and contested champs that everyone wants and forms comps around.
  • A-tier = Champs that fit very well into powerful comps in the meta.
  • B-tier = Champs that are situational but still fit into good comps.

In the current state of the game, items are a big component of champ strength and champs that work well with them are high value. Right now, we’ll be organizing by unit cost.

While some champions may excel in the early or mid game, champions will generally rank higher if they stay present on a final team comp. This allows you to have flexibility when transitioning to a late game team comp.

Champions that can be reroll carrys also generally rank higher. You can commit to a low-cost unit to reroll, or level up normally and use them as an item holder. This added flexibility gives them a higher rank than other units.

If a unit usually carries and has good items, it is evaluated in that context since items are so integral to the game.

Please remember that TFT is highly situational so ALL units can be used. Explore and help us figure out the things we may have missed!
