Anomaly

Hoyoverse recently dropped their Version 1.1 Special Program, teasing a new character: Jane Doe. While we don’t know the exact information of her kit, we do know that she’s “involved” with PubSec/CISRT and is Physical/Anomaly.

Zenless Zone Zero Qingyi Seth Jane Doe Zhu Yuan CISRT

Version 1.1 looks to be centered around Public Security, featuring new Agents like Qingyi, Seth, and Jane Doe.

As an Anomaly Agent, Jane Doe will further empower the archetype. This means she’ll likely pair very well with Grace/Rina. Seth is also on her banner, so it’s

When it comes to Piper, Jane seems to simply be a replacement. Having two Anomaly Agents of the same Attribute doesn’t do much. Only one Agent will be applying Assault at a time, so the overlap is wasteful.

However, if Jane’s kit somehow empowers a double Physical Anomaly team, then she can pair with Piper.

Jane Doe ZZZ Build Guide Overview

Zenless Zone Zero Jane Doe Build Feature

Unless something is extremely unique about Jane’s kit, we can make assumptions on how the best builds will be for her. As an Anomaly Agent, the usual stats like Proficiency/Mastery will be strong, with ATK and PEN also being useful.

Anomaly doesn’t scale with Crit stats, so those can be ignored for the most part.

W-Engine

  • Sharpened Stinger
  • Weeping Gemini R5
  • Rainforest Gourmet R5

Drive Disc

  • Freedom Blues (4)
    Fanged Metal (2)
  • Freedom Blues (4)
    Swing Jazz (2)

Main Stat

  • (4) Anomaly Proficiency
  • (5) Attribute DMG%
  • (6) Anomaly Mastery

Substats

  • Anomaly Proficiency
  • ATK%
  • ATK
  • PEN

ZZZ Jane Doe Best W-Engines

Without a doubt, Jane Doe’s best W-Engine will be her signature weapon. This will feature on the W-Engine Banner during her release. Unfortunately, we don’t know the full details yet, such as how much better this weapon is over the F2P options.

zzz Sharpened Stinger

Sharpened Stinger

Weeping_Gemini

Weeping Gemini R5
Whenever a squad member inflicts an Attribute Anomaly on an enemy, the equipper gains a buff that increases Anomaly Proficiency by 46, stacking up to 4 times. This effect expires when the target recovers from Stun or is defeated. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.

Rainforest_Gourmet

Rainforest Gourmet R5
For every 10 Energy consumed, the equipper gains a buff that increases ATK by 4% for 10s, stacking up to 10 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.

When it comes to Weeping Gemini vs Rainforest Gourmet, both provide very strong buffs and are solid options to use. Both are craftable, so you’ll eventually be able to max them out to R5.

For Disorder teams, people generally prefer Weeping Gemini as you can stack up the Anomaly Proficiency buff quicker. If you’re using Jane in any other team (such as with Nekomata), Rainforest Gourmet will likely be a better alternative.

If Jane also has a high Energy EX Special, Rainforest Gourmet can potentially outperform Weeping Gemini as you’ll get a large ATK% buff instantly.

ZZZ Jane Doe Drive Disc

Disk Drive Freedom Blues S

Freedom Blues

  • (2) Increases Anomaly Proficiency by 30.
  • (4)When an EX Special Attack hits an enemy, reduce the targets Anomaly Buildup RES to equippers attribute by 20% for 8s. This effect does not stack with others of the same attribute.

When it comes to Drive Discs, there are mainly two options. We recommend always picking Freedom Blues as your 4-piece bonus. While you can use Freedom Blues (2), the Anomaly Buildup RES shred is quite impactful, especially for tougher bosses.

For the 2-piece bonus, Fanged Metal (2) will provide a nice Physical DMG boost, while Swing Jazz (2) will provide Energy Regen. Both are good, and you should use whichever one you farm more efficiently on your account.

ZZZ Jane Doe Drive Disc Stats

When it comes to stats, it’s mostly the same for Anomaly Agents. Partitions IV and VI are for Anomaly while Partition V will be the matching Attribute DMG.

Main Stats

  • (4) Anomaly Proficiency
  • (5) Physical DMG%
  • (6) Anomaly Mastery

Substats

  • Anomaly Proficiency
  • ATK%
  • ATK
  • PEN

When it comes to substats, it’s fairly straightforward. Anomaly Proficiency is the priority. After that, you can look for damage stats like ATK%/PEN.

Jane Doe Skill Priority

Almost every Agent looks to level up their Core Skill first. This increases their base stats and upgrades their Core Passive. Once we learn more about Jane’s kit, we can give a proper Skill Priority recommendation.

ZZZ Jane Doe Teams

Once again, this section of our guide is partly speculation. Since we know Jane is Physical Anomaly, we can start thinking about potential teams. However, if her kit provides something unique, there may be more team options than what is obvious at first glance.

Lastly, we are assuming that Jane doesn’t synergize with Piper. In general, having two Physical Anomaly Agents shouldn’t synergize together since they fulfill the same role in a team. However, if Jane has some sort of mechanic that empowers Assault even further, this will change things.

Jane Doe + Grace Team

ZZZ Anomaly Disorder Team Jane Grace Seth

[ZZZ Grace Guide] [ZZZ Seth Guide]

Without a doubt, Grace looks to be Jane’s best partner. Grace will apply a strong Shock on the enemy, and Jane can trigger Disorder by proccing Assault. Since Jane is Anomaly, we can assume that her Anomaly stats are strong at base, much like Grace and Piper.

For a third Agent, we have Seth. We don’t know for sure if Seth synergizes with Anomaly, but since he’s on the same banner as Jane, it’s highly likely.

Furthermore, Seth is Electric, meaning he will activate Grace’s Additional Ability. Rina looks to also be a strong third Agent option, as she provides utility for Shock and PEN Ratio for the entire team.

Jane Doe + Nekomata Team

ZZZ Jane Doe Nekomata Qingyi Team

[ZZZ Nekomata Guide] [ZZZ Qingyi Guide]

The second team that can work well with Jane is a Nekomata team. Nekomata’s kit deals more damage when anyone triggers Assault on the enemy, which Jane does extremely well as an Anomaly Agent.

This team is slightly similar to the Mono Electric team we see with Anton/Grace/Rina. Unfortunately, we don’t have a Physical Support/Stun Agent, so the last slot will be flexible.

In this example, I use Qingyi as a Stunner, but you can use other options like Nicole for Support as well. Either way, if the last Agent isn’t Physical, you’ll be able to trigger a few Disorders with this team as well.

While you won’t hit massive Disorders like with Grace, it’s still something to note.
